At times, you need to treat yourself better, or give someone else a proper treat. And once in a while, you'll want to call for a celebration. During times like these, a meal at Lawry's The Prime Rib is in order.
That's because this restaurant is all set to please and impress. From the quality cuisine and butler-like service, to the well-appointed interior décor and table setting, the place is imbued with the classiness of a gentrified English manor's dining hall. But the main draw of the restaurant is reflected in its name - prime rib.
From the items listed in the lunch menu, it also appears that they aim to cater to everyone's preferences. The list includes beef, lamb, chicken, seafood and even a vegetarian special.
All those items come with the Soup of the Day or "Lawry's Famous Original Spinning Bowl Salad". The latter is served in the most refreshing way - the waitress does a quick pirouette as she spins the salad bowl, the salad plates and forks are chilled, and the restaurant's very own blends of seasoned pepper and classic vintage dressing are provided.
If you're going for the prime rib of beef, you'll get to make your selection from a carving wagon brought to your table. The selection comprises various cuts (from $52.80 to $98.80): California (140g), English (200g), Lawry's (285g) and Diamond Jim Brady (450g).
The beef will then be prepared the way you like it, and served with Idaho mashed potato, a simply scrumptious Yorkshire pudding, and a delectable gravy that's a perfect foil for them all. Optional side dishes like creamed corn/spinach, buttered peas and steamed broccoli are available.
And... if you really want to spoil yourselves, ask for a side order of lobster too (one tail: $26, two tails: $51)!
